Analytical and Computational methods have been an indispensable area of interest for all engineers and scientists. The experience of various analytical instruments and computational tools is vital and enables researchers to pursue research in many areas of modern science and technology. This workshop aims to equip participants with the skills required to handle and operate sophisticated analytical instruments and computational tools in an High Performance Computing (HPC) environment, which are imperative in the present industrial environment. The workshop is designated to provide participants from Institutes across India with a comprehensive understanding of various analytical techniques, such as Gas Chromatography Mass Chromatography(GC-MS), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), Single-Crystal X-ray diffraction(SC-XRD), X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM), and various computational techniques, such as computational fluid dynamics, quantum mechanical calculation, and molecular dynamics simulations and the use of HPC environment. The workshop is divided into two sessions, with the first session focusing on theoretical aspects of operation, troubleshooting, calibration, method development, and limitations of the various instrumentation/software. In contrast, the second session provides a practical demonstration of these instruments and software. The workshop will also include presentations by eminent researchers and industry personnel on ongoing research/equipment related to the use of these analytical and computational techniques.
